You may have noticed a new look for Gleevec when you refilled your 400-mg prescription.
Novartis has introduced new packaging in the U.S. market that includes each individual tablet in a blister pack. This is designed to help the patient to better track their medicine and how many tablets are left.
Tablets imprinted
- Each 400-mg tablet is imprinted with the Gleevec name in order to help patients distinguish it from their other medications.
- This change does not apply to Gleevec 100-mg, which will continue to be dispensed in a pill bottle.
- The formulation, dosage strength and dosing instructions remain the same.
